After an initial introduction period, you will take part in new store openings, recruit and train Store Managers and staff, and ensure that our stores operate in line with NORMAL’s standards and processes.

Job Description

You will join our newly established local management team in Romania as the very first Area Manager. In this role, you will work closely with our Romanian Country Manager and our headquarters in Denmark.

We are looking for an outgoing, structured and well-organized manager who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. As we continue to grow, you will eventually become part of a larger team of Area Managers and report directly to the Country Manager.

Your responsibilities

As an Area Manager, you will be hands-on and involved in many different tasks – no two days will be the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing 10–15 NORMAL stores, including Store Managers and their teams

• Planning and hiring for new store openings

• Optimizing sales and implementing best practices across your stores and region

• Visiting your stores regularly, focusing on KPIs, budgeting, performance and leadership

• Recruiting, training and coaching Store Managers in your region

• Coordinating and driving sales and operational initiatives in alignment with management in Romania and HQ in Denmark

• Acting as a role model for NORMAL’s culture and values

What it takes to succeed

We expect you to have experience working as an Area Manager within the retail industry. You combine a strong sense for detail with a structured way of working, solid leadership skills and a strong team spirit.

You are comfortable managing many different tasks at the same time and approach challenges with a positive, can-do attitude. Some travel should be expected as part of the role.
